A quick summary on our activity on the NSW Solar Bonus fiasco.
I have spent more than a week now dedicated fully to this cause, along with Warwick Johnston, John Grimes and Geoff Bragg plus a support team.
We have had a non stop whirlwind week including media interviews, press, strategy meetings multiple times a day and of course, walking the halls of Parliament.
We visited dozens of MP’s and I even took to baling them up in the foyer today. We have done our best to be genuine, professional and get our key messages across which hinges on certainty. We even sat in on Parliament to make sure they knew we were watching and listing – and got acknowledged several times. Its a position that everyone understands and agrees with but the reality is that politics and back room horse trading is what will win or lose this.
We learn a lot every-time we speak to MPs and in principle they all agree with our story and everyone’s plight. But they are politicians and part of a team so we have to continue to be clever about how we pitch our arguments.
The fever pitch media coverage will probably wane a little in the next week or so – but don’t worry this is part of our plan. We are planning our next big “gear change” and concentrating our efforts.
I wanted to thank the hundreds of people who have emailed to encourage us to continue, it means a lot to us and we will continue to do our best.
